
Often enough we get overwhelmed by an incident or something someone said or the issues in our lives. What to do in such a case? How to bring yourself back to your center?
Following, I am stating some easy to do exercises which help you instantly as well as in the long run whenever you feel overwhelmed and you loose your center, the place where you feel calm.
In such a situation which disturbs you and sucks out all your calm, do this:
In such situations, to calm yourself, count reverse to 10 – 10, 9, 8 ….1 or alternately, take 3 deep breaths (from abdomen). Now recall the person you love most and enter into a moment where they are happy. Aren’t you now wanting to be thankful for their smile, rather than being over-whelmed. If yes, just say thanks to GOD or the higher power you believe in.
Recall you are here on Earth for a purpose. It may be known to you or not, but you are here for a purpose. And this purpose is not being overwhelmed right now or ever in time. Recalling just this much, brings you to your center, calms you.
And now, begin to count the numerous ways in which Mother Nature is with you. It shows you how important you are and gives perspective that there are huge things other than what you might be overwhelmed by. Nature is vast and has variety. Begin to appreciate it.
